In 1992 Thabo formed Isizwe Esitsha Performing
Arts currently known as AmaBorder Voices Theatre, based in the
isolated town of Plumtree where Thabo grew up. AmaBorder Voices
have become a household name in his diligent border town. With
AmaBorder Voices Thabo wrote and directed these plays, ‘Voices
of Soweto’, ‘Sour World’, Troubles Never End…..’,
‘Ngiyesaba Bhonzoe’. They toured around Zimbabwe.
We cannot ignore Thabo’s magnificent poetry, backed by AmaBorder
Voices collectively at Titshi Festival, Inxusa Festival, Horn
of Africa Festival, Thames Festival and many other festivals and
events. Most of the main members of the AmaBorder Voices are school
children which Thabo groomed at Tjehanga, Dingumuzi and Madabe
primary schools.
